Recent UC Riverside graduate, and Dutch standout Menno Dijkstra has agreed to terms with Girona Basket competing in the LEB Silver league in Spain. Coached By Alex Formento, Girona Basket is a good destination for Dijkstra to jump-start his pro playing career.
During his final season at UC Riverside Dijkstra averaged 20 minutes a game, scored +8 points and also averaged a +31% 3pt percentage. He additionally collected a total of 137 rebounds and had a total of 37 assists and 10 steals.
Dijkstra is was one of the major reasons UC Riverside had a competing chance in the Big West conference and his inside, as well as his outside game for a big man, is well rounded. He has an amazing basketball IQ and is a great communicator on and off the court. His leading abilities will be a major upside for Girona basket and Coach Formento.
